AAAAAH THE INVISIBLE MAN! Gets me everytime..... -drools mindlessly- I needed that. Sat at home having carved the Jack Skellington pumpkin, doing nothing but listening to old bouncy Monkee tunes (Mary Mary). I dressed myself as Donovan then decided I was Robert Plant... So yeah.. I also got Janis Joplin, Jerry Garcia, George Harrison, Brian Jones, John Lennon, Frank Zappa, Mama Cass, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, and all those other dead musicians over for tea. I hope they like sausage and mash! Happy Halloween! Hope you have fun doing whatever you do!

Wow, the 300th post, cool ;D
So does anyone have any spooky stories to tell?
I live in a mobile home and one of the former owners died in the master bedroom which also happens to be mine and the hubby's bed room. Nothing spooky goes on though.
And......
There's a place about 20 miles from here that you can hear the sound of a running horse on moonlit nights. The story is that in the early 1900's some cowboys were trying to catch a wild stallion and they finally had him cornered on top of a cliff and he jumped off it to avoid being caught.

I'm pretty sure my old house was haunted. Like most kids, I had an imaginary friend but I would only ever talk with him in my room and I never considered him real or imaginary, to me he was always a ghost and I knew this as if it were the most natural thing in the world. I remember reading somewhere that young children can see things that others cannot and that imaginary friends may well be ghosts so who knows. I don't really remember much about him but he was a teenage boy. And our cat used to freak out at the top of our stairs and would often just stare at the landing as if watching something that wasn't there. Lights would switch themselves on when I was home alone, freaked me right out and I said that out loud one time and it never happened again And then there was the time that my mum heard some guy whisper to her and found out later that it was just her and me in the house. So that was all a bit strange, lol. But other than that, nothing particularly spooky.

I forgot this one in my earlier post.....
My husband worked on a ranch back in the late 80's and the entire place was haunted. During the day everything was pretty normal but at night, it got scary. He said around 4:30 in the morning you would wake up to hear someone putting on their boots and walking across the wooden floor of the cabin and out the door.... and he'd be the only one there!
Down at the corrals you could hear several different voices, almost as if a conversation was going on, you walk down there and no body's there.
Once, one of the other cowboys that worked there was riding home from one of the back pastures after dark and he could hear the sounds of another horseback rider following him.
I've also read that kids and animals can see things that " aren't there" and I think I've also heard it mentioned on " Ghost Hunters" as well, one of my favorite TV shows btw.

Happy Halloween everyone! I just came back from taking my little sister trick or treating. My costume was first Dark Side of the Moon (pipe cleaners taped to me) and that did not work, so then I donned a blue turtleneck, blue cardigan and jeans, and became a Beatle!
Today I also watched Fairy Tale for the first time (it was on the Monkees DVD that came in today from Netflix) and I think it's one of the best episodes!
The scariest story I know is that there's a flight of stairs in my school and people keep falling down and getting hurt. One of my teachers fell down and broke her leg, she had to quit teaching. Last week one of my classmates sprained her ankle on it, and last year another of my teachers hurt his knee. Apparently, my school is haunted and it's on a website list of haunted places.

Well, late as this is, the ghost tale at our school was that in the gym a kid was climbing up the ladders at the side on the walls. The old school uniform had a tie (now polonecks) and he jumped off them and by accident hung himself. Some people have seen a kid with a tie walk down the corridors; teachers included! I must say, I have seen the ghostly apparition myself. I saw the back of him though as he turned a corner. I happened to be going the same way, but he was gone and it was a corridor with NO rooms leading off. Kinda freaky.

Well, I don't think I've ever actually seen a ghost. I went to a Halloween party years ago at a cousins house and her husband at the time did the " headless horseman" bit for all the kids.
Did anyone dress up this year?

Yes, I always dress up! I was one of the Beatles. I'll show some pictures when my sister uploads them from her camera.
